From a simple poll to in-depth market research, we give you tools to create awesome surveys, but we also give you lots of ways to get responses and analyse your results to make informed, data-driven decisions.
Google Forms also lets you create surveys and get answers. Here’s a closer look at SurveyMonkey and Google Forms to see which one’s a better fit for you:
SurveyMonkey: You can choose from 15 different question types, including multiple choice, text box, Net Promoter® Score and A/B comparisons. Don’t know which questions to ask? Save time and create more effective surveys by choosing from questions written by our survey experts. With a SELECT plan, you can also ask an unlimited amount of questions and collect an unlimited amount of responses to make sure you get all the data you need.
Google Forms: Choose from nine different question types, including text and multiple choice. There are user-created Google form templates available from different sources, but they aren’t expert-designed and certified.
SurveyMonkey: Have an urgent question or issue? We offer email support for all customers. Our PLATINUM plan also offers first class support over the phone (in English only). For instant answers, our Help Center houses a comprehensive collection of articles and videos that explain how to use every SurveyMonkey feature. We also offer tips and guidance for creating effective surveys in Surveys 101.
Google Forms: Although there isn’t a help centre dedicated to strictly Google Forms, there is a basic Docs Editors Help Center that has information about creating and working with forms.
SurveyMonkey: You can send out your survey lots of different ways. Get a web link to cut and paste it into emails, social media posts or your website. Use our email collector to track who responds. Or add embedded or pop up collectors to any website. By upgrading, you can host surveys on research.net, our white label domain.
Google Forms: You can share the link to your form anywhere on the web or email it out directly from Google Forms, but you can’t track who responds or include any additional data. You can also use html to embed your form into a website.
SurveyMonkey: Get responses in real time, slice and dice your data to find insights and share your results with others for additional feedback. You can convert your data into custom charts and reports to show off your results. And with a SELECT plan, you can export your results into Excel (XLS), PDF, SPSS or presentation-ready PowerPoint (PPT) formats.
Google Forms: Your survey data is available in simple bar graphs, pie charts and text displays. Users can’t filter results, but data is automatically exported into a Google Spreadsheet.
SurveyMonkey: Our BASIC plan is free and offers most of the great powerful features mentioned above, including 13 questions types, email support and real-time results. We also offer four different pricing plans for more powerful features and customisation.
Google Forms: Google Forms is free to use.
