Calder Residents Survey – A Better Facility for Our Community
As you may know, we lost our community centre a long time ago. For several years now, The Calder Residents Association and other local groups have been offering a range of vital community services from The Community Flat at Dunsyre House including a food bank, youth groups, art clubs, cooking groups and advice and information services.
However the demand is so large for our projects and services and those of other groups that the community needs a new and better community facility. The Janitors house at Sighthill Primary presents an amazing opportunity for the residents in the Calders to take control of a local asset and develop it for community use, in addition to retaining the community flat.
In a time of change, we want to make sure that our community is an even better place to live, work, play and visit. That’s why we want to hear your thoughts about our community and about the chance to take community control of the Janitor's house.
Please take the time to complete this important survey and make sure that your voice is heard. You can complete the survey online here, or paper copies of the survey can be picked up and dropped off at the community flat between 10 am - 12 pm on Fridays.
