Later this year the Centre for Youth Impact will be publishing a report on what we think the next steps for establishing a shared evidence base in the youth sector should be and what principles we think need to guide its creation. As part of this process, we would like to hear about where you look for evidence of the impact of youth provision, and how you use that evidence. Thank you for taking the time to complete our survey.

It would need to collate all the historical evidence that already exists

It would need to be very broad and high level, to account for all the diversity in youth provision

It would need to include robust statements on value for money and cost benefit analysis

It would need to use common measures/data so that we know we’re comparing ‘like with like’

It would need to be easy for me to add my organisation’s evidence into

It would need to focus on the most robust forms of evidence, like control group studies

It would need to be kept totally up to date

It would need to focus on the forms of evidence that most youth organisations collect themselves, like case studies and questionnaire data from young people

It should clearly identify provision that evidence suggests is good or best practice
