In 2018, Waltham Forest Council was successful in securing initial funding from Transport for London (TfL) to develop a Liveable Neighbourhoods scheme. The aim of the scheme being to encourage residents, businesses and visitors to use more active modes of transport in their day-to-day lives, so that together we can reduce congestion, tackle air pollution and improve the health and well being of local people.

We anticipate a parklet will help to enhance the local environment and support an increase in footfall for businesses nearby. This parklet is currenly on trial and we encourage feedback to monitor the effectiveness of the Parklet in this location. If the trial is successful we may consider leaving it in place for longer.
