Resident questionnaire

Your Parish Council is working with residents and stakeholders on developing a Neighbourhood Plan for Watermead.  You may well have read about it in Village View, on our website, or on social media and noticeboards.

Watermead is already a fantastic place to live, and we want to make sure that we continue to maintain it, and where possible improve it, in the ways that most benefit the people who live and work here, both now and in future.  Once the current restrictions on movement are eased we hope to have open events in the Village Hall or Hall garden, but in the meantime we will be asking for your feedback through a series of short questionnaires.

Our questions are not intended to be intrusive and of course you don't have to answer them if you don't want to, but the more information we have, the better the chance that we can produce a Plan that reflects your needs and wishes.

All members of the household can complete the survey so that we know what everyone thinks.  Everyone can complete the survey separately, using the same link.

Each completed survey, with contact details, will be entered into a prize draw to win a £50 Amazon voucher as a thank you for taking part.

* 19. Village Hall

One of the things some residents have already told us we could improve is the Village Hall.  The changing, younger profile of our residents means that the current hall is no longer suited to the needs of a modern and thriving community.  As a Parish Council, we are considering whether we might be able to build a new, larger Parish Hall on land away from private properties, creating a sustainable and self-financing facility.  The vision is that the main accommodation would seat about two hundred people, and there would also be one or two smaller meeting or function rooms, and a professional kitchen.  Our aim would be that by creating an attractively designed and positioned facility, it would potentially become self-funding.

Thank you for completing our survey.  Your answers are confidential and will be used to analyse questionnaire results.  We will be publishing the results of all questionnaires and consultations as we progress through the Neighbourhood Plan.  
All information submitted will be retained solely for the purposes of Watermead's Neighbourhood Plan by Watermead Parish Council whose Data Protection Policy can be seen on the website at www.watermead-pc.gov.uk.

It would be helpful if we had your name and contact details to enable us to keep you up to date with our Plan progress and to ask for your views as we move forward.  We will never pass your information to any third party and will contact you solely in connection with the Neighbourhood Plan.
