CAPS is an Independent Advocacy charity that works across Lothian with people who have Mental Health issues. Collective advocacy is about people with a shared interest coming together to have a say about what is important to them.

In March 2016 East Lothian became the second local authority in Scotland to implement the new Universal Credit welfare benefit system.
CAPS is gathering views from people in East Lothian on what their experiences have been of claiming this benefit. The following survey will ask about your
experience, whether there were any challenges and what changes could be made to improve the process.
