An application has just gone in to Croydon Council to open a pop-up bar and live music venue under residential block, Bridge House, in the basement area of the Q-Park, off Charles Street.

Events company ‘Cellar Door Promotions’ aim to open the venue next month if Croydon Council decides to grant a licensing application. It will be called Underground 2018. You can read the application here.

Their application states it will open at 9pm and will close at 11pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 2am on Thursdays, 4am on Fridays and Saturdays and midnight on Sundays.

Given the hundreds of residents who live immediately above and around this location, and the time it will be open, we are deeply concerned about its impact on the health and well-being of local people:

Your local councillors are therefore asking you to join us in opposing this application by signing our petition.

We have until the end of January 2018 to send in our reasons for objecting to this so share the petition with as many of your friends and neighbours as possible.

The higher the volume, the more likely it is to be refused.
