Community Survey

Have your say!  Help us develop Transition Town Forres for the local community.

Help us develop Transition Town Forres for the local community. Transition Town Forres (TTF) is a volunteer led charity that has been working over the last 10 years to raise awareness of the global issues affecting Forres.

Due to Covid we have had to close the centre but not the gardens, when government restrictions ease we will open again. In the meantime we understand that this may feel like an unusual time to do a survey, but we see the TTF centre being utilised during
our communities’ Covid and ‘green' recovery in the near future.

As part of the local community we hope that by working together we can address climate change and move towards a more sustainable future. We also act as a catalyst and hub for local groups and individuals (including Let’s Eat and Wellbeing Projects, Allotments and more), providing space and resources that nurture activities, projects and creative thinking across the Forres community.

We are based at the Environmental Education and Wellbeing Centre and Community Garden/Allotments at Bogton Road, on a site that is leased long term from Moray Council. We would like to make this base more permanent and we are therefore applying for a Community Asset Transfer to purchase the site and Centre from Moray Council, on behalf of the community.

We need to generate more income from our current and new activities, to cover running costs and potentially employ a part time manager. It is vital that we develop with the local community in mind, so we are asking you to let us know what you think and whether you support our plans.

This survey asks questions about your support for TTF plans to purchase the site and develop activities, as well as questions that will help us to understand the demand and potential income for our proposed projects. Please spare a little time to tell us what you think – it will make all the difference!

Please complete this survey by 16th April 2021. Please fill it in online if possible: www.ttforres.scot

More information about TTF and how to become a member, can be found on our website: www.ttforres.scot
