Introduction
Thank you for your interest in developing standards by becoming a BSI standards makers. All standards makers volunteer their time and expertise to create standards by building consensus within their committee. Standards makers shape standards which help safeguard the public, improve performance, reduce business risk, increase sustainability and encourage innovation as relevant to the field of application.
BSI is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive community of standards makers and welcomes all applications. BSI is obliged to ensure that all standards makers have knowledge / experience which is relevant to the committee(s) on which they serve. Furthermore, we also have a responsibility to ensure that there is a balance of stakeholder views on each committee. Finally, please note that standards go through periodic cycles of development and review so committees and their members may not always be engaged in an active process.
