Government School Sport and Activity Action Plan - Opening Facilities Questionnaire |
Northumberland Sport and Tyne & Wear Sport are two of 43 Active Partnerships recognised by Sport England as the strategic leads for sport and physical activity across their local region. Our focus is on trying to get more people physically active.
We have been commissioned by Sport England to support schools to open up their sports facilities, in order to broaden the offer of extra-curricular and out of school sporting and physical activities available to both pupils and the wider community around the school. This work connects to the Government's School Sport & Activity Action Plan.
This survey should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete and is aimed at all schools in Newcastle, North Tyneside and Northumberland. We are seeking to develop insight about the existing landscape by understanding how many schools currently open their facilities for community use and what the barriers are that prevent or deter schools from doing so. We would encourage respondents to be as honest as possible when answering the questions.
If you feel like this subject would benefit from multiple responses (including differences in opinion between school staff) then please feel free to distribute the survey link to colleagues.
The deadline for completion is Friday 6th March and the draw will be done on Monday 9th March. Each school that completes the questionnaire will be entered into a prize draw to win £250 of sports equipment vouchers (please note there will be prize draw for £250 for each local authority area).
