LimeCulture CIC is a national sexual violence & safeguarding training and development organisation based in the UK. We work with frontline professionals, and their organisations, to improve the response to victims of sexual violence and safeguarding, through our range of training and development initiatives, research, and specialised consultancy services. LimeCulture CIC has a specialist Safeguarding in Sport Delivery Unit.
Staff in the unit have a long history in supporting sport practitioners and sporting organisations to transform their safeguarding provision through innovative training and development opportunities, case management services and expert consultancy reviews.
As such we are aware of the need to assure a consistent standard of knowledge and practice across all Safeguarding Lead Officers, and are currently developing an accredited Safeguarding Lead Officer training course for those employed/contracted by National Governing Bodies (NGBs).
In order to design a modular accredited Safeguarding Lead Officer training programme, we have developed this survey to collect the views and professional opinions of a range of stakeholders within safeguarding and sport. We would really welcome your thoughts on what content should form part of the training, as well as what skills and knowledge Safeguarding Lead Officers require to undertake their role. We would like you to be really honest in your feedback. We will not name any individuals or sports for any feedback that is provided.
The survey will be live from 4th July until the 20th of August 2019
Once we have collected all the data from this survey, we will undertake focus groups to harness further detail as to what an accredited Safeguarding Lead Officer training should entail. At the end of the survey there is the opportunity to provide your contact details if you wish to participate.
