Privacy Notice

We only use your data for the purposes for which it was provided. For instance:
Providing you with legal support or signposting you to alternative service providers.  
Where you have consented to receive updates, to notify you of any free legal events we might be hosting. 
Where you have consented to receive our e-newsletters, from time to time to provide that to you.

We only ask what is required in order to provide assistance on what you have requested.  We record the number and type of enquiries we receive in relation to legal advice on our database.

Queries submitted to ask for legal advice do often contain confidential and sensitive information. Copies of enquiries are retained for 12 months before being confidentially destroyed. 

We may retain your contact information in our past client database for a longer period, in order to provide follow up services, and ask for feedback. 

If you have given us consent to use your data for a particular purpose you can revoke or vary that consent at any time. If you do not want us to use your data or want to vary the consent that you have provided you can email us at qLegal@qmul.ac.uk

The transmission of information via the Internet or email is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of data while you are transmitting it to our site; any such transmission is at your own risk.
