The Diverse Alternative Provision Academy (DAPA) – a proposed new free school for Nottinghamshire and the surrounding area – will cater for students where the conventional approach to education has not worked or where students have a range of complex needs that a traditional classroom setting cannot accommodate.

It is our firm belief that everyone should have access to high quality education regardless of the setting. This new academy will offer post 16 provision to students who are currently within or would benefit from an alternative provision education setting. The post-16 provision at DAPA will enable students to bridge the gap between alternative provision and higher education. Students will have a key worker who will support them in making a smooth transition to a more independent way of learning.

We are currently seeking approval with the Department for Education, with a view to opening in September 2018, and are collecting surveys to measure demand for the new school in our area. We would like to gather support for post 16 from both parents and young people. Our website www.dapa-ac.org.uk contains further information about us, the curriculum and how to contact us. If you are interested in attending DAPA for post 16 or would like to send your child to this academy, please complete the online form by clicking 'next' below.
