The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) is consulting on the policy around the implementation of a ‘de minimis’ below which a flat fee element of a combination charge cannot be charged. The consultation can be found here.  This will be set at £100. This intention was included in the Government’s previous consultation ‘Review of the Default Fund Charge Cap and Standardised Costs Disclosure’ published in January 2021, which can be found here.

They are also consulting on the government’s proposal to move to a single, permitted universal charging structure for use within qualifying Defined Contribution schemes for automatic enrolment.

We are seeking views of qualifying DC schemes on the implementation of the ‘de minimis’ and on broader views of what the future structure of charges permitted within the charge cap should be.

We very much value your input, especially where it is possible to provide additional comments, which will enable us to have a more comprehensive and robust response.

This survey closes on 6 July 2021. It should take 10 minutes to complete.
