What we will do with your answers.

Thank you for taking the time to complete this questionnaire.  It aims to collect information about your experiences of the Orchid Observers project so that we can understand how participants have engaged with and responded to the project.

Your answers to these questions will be combined with those from other people and will be used to improve citizen science programmes more widely. The collective results of the questionnaires may be published in academic and professional literature about citizen science, or in social media or on websites.  Whilst we will collect your username in this questionnaire, all your answers will be anonymised before they are given to the researchers for analysis.  This means that at no point during the analysis of the results, nor the publishing of the results, will it be possible to identify you as an individual.

There are 23 multiple choice questions for you to answer and 10 optional demographic questions at the end.

Please answer the questions as honestly as you can.  Each person's perspective is important in order for us to learn about the range of experiences of the project.

To say thank you for completing this questionnaire, we would like to invite you to enter a prize draw to win a wall print of the 2010 Wildlife Photographer of the Year image Orchid in a flush of garlic or a copy of 'Orchids of Britain and Ireland: A Field and Site Guide' by Harrap and Harrap.  You can enter by providing us with you contact details at the end of the demographics section of the questionnaire.
