Welcome to the NDNA Sustainability Survey for ELC settings in Scotland

What you tell us about how your nursery places are funded and about how your business has been affected by Covid-19 and the expansion to 1140 hours of funded ELC is crucial to the sector and our lobbying on your behalf.

With a new Minister and the Programme for Government being set out, alongside the full roll-out of 1140 hours we want to gather the picture of your experiences to ensure your voice is heard at the highest levels.

Thousands of children’s futures will be affected by the decisions policy makers will be making and we want to draw on your experiences to make sure they are right for children, families and the sector. We will use information you give us to make recommendations based on hard facts and figures.

Your feedback is essential to making this survey as comprehensive as possible. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond especially when you’re all so busy. The survey is relatively short and should take about 15-20 minutes if you have the following information ready before you start:
  • Details surrounding your delivery or non-delivery of 1140 hours
  • Details of your occupancy levels
  • The proportion of your places that are government-funded and parent-funded
  • Details of how you think your business will perform financially this year
  • Information regarding any local authority support grants you have received.

NDNA campaigns tirelessly on issues such as government funding, making sure that policy makers and politicians understand the challenges of running a childcare business. By being a member of NDNA Scotland you have a stronger voice on issues that matter to you.

As a thank you we will put anyone interested into a prize draw to win a £50 voucher from our partners TTS or one of two £25 vouchers from Consortium.

The closing date for this survey is Monday 23 August.
