About the survey
Thank you for taking an interest in our short survey, your response will help us improve the experience our patients receive when coming in for a surgical procedure at Northampton General Hospital.
Have you had a procedure with us before?
Do you have first time surgery scheduled?
Are you a family member or carer of someone who has had/will be having surgery?
Are you a healthcare professional who is regularly asked questions relating to surgery?
We are working with our theatre teams to create a series of short explainer style videos, accessible online to inform patients on what to expect when coming in for a surgical procedure at Northampton General Hospital. We are aiming to produce content that will help answer common questions while also reducing levels of stress and anxiety some patients might face during the time leading up to their procedure.
This survey will ask you one question:
What information would you, or someone you care for, benefit from knowing when coming in for surgery at Northampton General Hospital?
This could be range from directions to the hospital, what happens during your procedure, to the aftercare you receive from us.

You may choose not to participate during completion, you may withdraw at any time. If you decide not to participate in this survey, your data will not be saved.
Your data will be kept confidential. All data is stored in a password protected electronic format. To help protect your confidentiality, the surveys will not contain information that will personally identify you, unless you chose to answer the final question. The results of this survey will be used for patient experience purposes only and may be shared with representatives of Northampton General Hospital NHS Trust.
