This is a survey to test the wording of some draft principles that will guide Genomics England in choosing the conditions to screen for in newborn babies’ genomes.

A working group of experts has helped Genomics England develop some principles to use, to define the kinds of tests that should be done.

In this survey, we will tell you about the decisions that the scientists will have to make when designing the tests, and explain the principle that we are testing. This will be in a video clip, and it’s important that you watch each clip before answering the question underneath.

Please note that we recognise that the principles (and the conditions that meet them) may need to be reviewed over time. This survey will therefore not be the only opportunity to comment the Programme’s approach to these issues.
