Request for questions for Natural England

In late 2016, Natural England announced new European Protected Species Licensing Policies (see http://www.cieem.net/news/366/natural-england-announce-new-wildlife-licensing-policies).

There are still many questions surrounding the new policies and their implementation and as such Natural England representatives have agreed to answer questions on the new policies during a CIEEM webinar (currently planned for early March).

In order to enable the Natural England representatives to give the best possible answers during the webinar we are asking members to submit their questions beforehand. CIEEM will collate these into similar questions so that we can cover as many as possible.

You do not need to commit to attending the webinar in order to ask a question, and we would encourage all members to ask any questions that they may have. The webinar will also be recorded and uploaded to the website for future reference and for members who could not attend at the time.

Policy 1 - Greater flexibility when excluding and relocating European Protected Species (EPS) from development sites

Policy 2 - Greater flexibility in the location of newly created habitats that compensate for habitats that will be lost

Policy 3 - Allowing EPS to have access to temporary habitats that will be developed at a later date

Policy 4 - Appropriate and relevant surveys where the impacts of development can be confidently predicted
