Magpie Control in Wales The Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust (GWCT) are collecting data on the extent and range of magpie control in Wales, with the intention to challenge NRW’s consideration that magpie may not be suitable for inclusion on general licences as indicated in their current consultation - ‘NRW’s approach to regulating the shooting and trapping of wild birds and the destruction of eggs and nests’.
