Help reduce speeding traffic on your street
Are you concerned about protecting children in your community on their walk to school? Bristol City Council is committed to working with communities across the city to improve road safety for our children and all vulnerable road users.
Community SpeedWatch is an Avon & Somerset Police initiative that enables local people to get actively involved in road safety in their neighbourhood, to help educate road users about the impact of speed on communities. The sheer presence of groups monitoring traffic at the roadside can have a positive effect on driver behaviour, showing motorists that people care about their street and want drivers to slow down and driver considerately through the neighbourhood.
