Overview
This report seeks industry comments on best practice features and processes relating to Internet Investment Gold Products (IIG). We define IIG as investment gold that is purchased online and stored on investors’ behalf. Gold-backed financial securities, such as exchange-traded funds and financial derivatives, are not covered by this paper. [1]
Providers of IIG products, investors and other stakeholders are invited to comment on our proposals. Responses will be used to formulate IIG Product Provider Guidance, which will set out minimum expected features that product providers should adhere to when offering IIG products. This will facilitate investor protection and drive sustainable growth across the sector.
