There are many factors that influence the long-term health of the population, including the nature of the places that people live, work, learn and spend their leisure time in. A growing body of evidence is showing how buildings, streets, parks and neighbourhoods affect people’s physical and mental health.

This survey is part of a joint research project between Social Change UK and Design Council. We would like to find out what people working in the built environment do to create healthy places, the barriers that prevent professionals from going further, and how these barriers could be overcome in the future.

The survey takes 5-10 minutes to complete. Your responses will be kept anonymous in the reporting and analysis of findings. Survey Monkey uses cookies so if you close the window you can re-open the survey and pick up from where you left off. At the end of the survey, you will be given the option to take part in telephone interviews and sign up to receive the research findings when they are published.
