Glasgow Urban Sports (GUS) are a volunteer led group of Skateboarders and BMX riders working to develop a new multi-use Urban Sports Sculpture Park for Glasgow. It will be located under the M74 canopy located in the Port Eglinton area (see map below), on the south-side of Glasgow.
This dynamic, new urban-realm development will be an inclusive, free to use public space, creatively designed by artists to encourage urban sports including Skateboarding, BMX, Scooters, Quad skates, Trial Bikes, Parkour / Free-running, Bouldering etc.
The GUS team previously designed and delivered the popular Riverside Museum 'Transport' skate spot and have recently been joined by John Bailey / Vision Ramps who are responsible for designing and operating the successful Loading Bay skatepark in Port Dundas, Glasgow.
By completing this survey you will help to demonstrate the demand for new free to use urban sports facilities within Glasgow, informing the design, fundraising process and next steps of the project.
