Scottish Football Fans Activist Training is an exciting new training programme as part of Football.v.Homophobia Scotland.  The training is arranged by LEAP Sports Scotland and will be co-delivered by partners Pride in Football in conjunction with Equality Network and Proud Dons, Scotland's first LGBT football fan group.
The training is for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) people who are fans of football in Scotland.  The training will be held on Saturday 28th January 2017 from 1230pm - 6pm at a venue by Loch Lomond.  The training is free of charge.
Some of the areas we will be covering in the training include:
  • LGBTI football fans around the world
  • History of LGBTI activism in football
  • LGBTI football fans groups
  • Inside out: engaging with your football team
  • Tools, campaigns and networks
The training will be delivered as a stand-alone event, but there will be options to move on to further stages of training and mentorship.
Participants are welcome to make their own way to the venue or there will be transport provided from Glasgow.  There is also the option of staying on for dinner, as well as an overnight option on the Saturday for those who wish to stay over, socialise and get to know other participants and other LGBTI activists.
