Survey on experience with bailiffs

Around 40,000 people come to Citizens Advice with bailiff issues each year. A bailiff - sometimes called an enforcement agent - is someone who has legal powers to collect a debt. Some bailiffs work on behalf of private companies, some are self-employed and some work for the council.

We want to learn more about people's experience with bailiffs and what effects these experiences have on people over the longer term. We want to encourage bailiffs to treat people better - and ask the government to improve its monitoring of the bailiff industry.

Many thanks in advance for filling in this survey. To show our gratitude, we will be sending £40 Tesco vouchers to 3 randomly selected people who complete the survey. To enter yourself into the draw, please fill in your contact details when the survey asks you to do so.
