Introduction

Dear Resident,

Ewhurst and Staplecross Village Hall is a fantastic asset for everyone in the Parish to use. As well as being regularly used by the local primary school and hosting the Parish Council meetings it is used for regular classes and birthday parties. The hall is available to use during the week and at the weekend.

Trustees have reviewed the current and future sustainability of the building regarding it being fit for purpose for the future needs of our growing and diverse community.  After consulting with professionals, the Development Working Group put forward a recommendation to all Trustees (which was supported) for a new build programme with the engagement of AirS Village Hall Advisor, on a step by step route to this bold idea for our community.

This purpose of this survey is to

  • determine the views of all households in the parish/area of benefit
  • build a picture of the living, working and leisure patterns of the community and peoples attitude towards the use of the village hall
