Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has recently approved its new Tourism Development Strategy for the Council area. One major trend acknowledged in the strategy is that, increasingly, visitors are using online digital platforms, particularly social media, to plan their trips.  

Theme 1 of the Tourism Development Strategy is Marketing & Visibility in the Market. As one of the Key Actions under this theme, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council intends to provide access to relevant online digital tourism training. A programme of workshops will be developed to assist your business in attempting to reach new customers and retain current customers via appropriate online platforms.

To help us design training workshops which are appropriate for tourism businesses and which will address knowledge and expertise gaps, we are gathering information on current levels use of digital platforms to support your business.
