The survey is part of research conducted by the Baroness Warsi Foundation and the Empowering Design Practices project and aims to inform understanding of how individuals and communities view the future of places of worship in the UK and their place in society. 
 
The Baroness Warsi Foundation’s ‘Modern Places of Worship’ project, explores the interplay between architecture, faith and identity from both an historic and a modern perspective. Empowering Design Practices is a research project funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and explores how community-led design can help empower those who look after historic places of worship to create more open, vibrant and sustainable places that respect and enhance their heritage.
