South Kesteven District Council (SKDC) has been working hard over the last year to ensure services like refuse collection, street cleaning, providing social housing and distributing grant support to local businesses have continued throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.
Now in a transitory phase where the economy has re-opened but some restrictions remain, the Council is looking at ways it can continue to maintain current service standards, whilst at the same time deliver on its ambitions.
SKDC believes this can be achieved by making the most of what we have, streamlining costs where we can and attracting funding from other sources, but are asking for your help too.
If you support an increase of £5 (per Band D property) in SKDC’s element of Council Tax for the 2022/23 financial year, you will help to generate around £250,000 of additional income for the Council.
To help you decide if you can support this increase or not, we have included some information on how SKDC funds services, some of the things we have been working on and also some of the things we have planned.
It is important that you have a say on the level of funding we will have available. As such, we would be very grateful if you are able to spare us some time to complete this survey and let us know what you think. It should only take you a few minutes. Thank you.
Please note this consultation closes on 28 January 2022.
