About the vaccine
The NHS has well-established routes for delivering vaccinations across the country, for example the annual flu jab. These are primarily led by GPs and community pharmacies, and plans for COVID-19 vaccination will build on these. The NHS will not offer Covid-19 vaccinations to the public until it is safe to do so and it will use national evidence to prioritise who will get them first.
The vaccine includes two jabs, taken three to four weeks apart.
Healthwatch Leeds is an independent non-profit organisation which listens to the voices and experiences of local people so that we can influence the decisions made by health and care services in the city.
