1. About your Community Woodland Group

This survey is for people who are part of a Community Woodland Group within the Central Scotland Green Network (CSGN). Please answer as many questions as possible. The information you provide will be used to shape the support offered to Community Woodland Groups in the future.

To check if your woodland is in the CSGN use the Forestry Commission Map Viewer (select Central Scotland Green Network from the boundaries folder in the Map Layers menu on the right).

* 1. Any information you provide will be held by Central Scotland Green Network Trust (CSGNT), Community Woodlands Association (CWA) and Forestry Commission Scotland (FCS). These organisations currently comply with the Data Protection Act 1998 and will comply with the General Data Protection Regulations by May 2018. These organisations respect your privacy and will not disclose your personal data to any third party without your consent.  The data will be used in research, which will give an insight into the current situation of community woodland within the Central Scotland Green Network. It will also be used to shape future support offered by the aforementioned organisations. Your data will be held for 2 years. If you would like to amend or delete your personal data, please email contact@csgnt.org.uk. You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioners Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with the way your data is handled.

The term, 'Community woodland group' for our purposes is defined as 'a community-led group which takes an active role in the management of a woodland which it might own or lease, or work in with the owner's permission.'

This definition might include a 'Friends of' group which agrees an annual work programme, but excludes a regular volunteer group organised and supervised by a ranger who sets tasks for each session.
