1. Research Aims

This survey is designed to be completed by individuals (adults) or companies who are presently in England and who work in or with the circus industry at a professional level.

The aim is to gather information to offer a snap-shot of the impact of Covid-19 on the circus sector in England. The findings will be used to advocate on behalf of the industry.

All information collected will be treated in confidence and data is entered anonymously. Those who wish to input their personal details in an additional section after the end of the survey (which will be separated from their individual response) can leave an email address to have a copy of the findings sent to them in advance of these being released.

The data gathered will be stored in accordance with GDPR regulations. In an anonymised format, the overall findings will be published and be shared with researchers, with advocacy bodies, with government agencies and others. I will also include findings in my PhD. Individual anonymous responses may be reviewed by Supervisors at the University of Exeter.  If after undertaking this survey you wish to have your responses deleted, this can be achieved any time up until publication simply by emailing me. I will then search through the responses to match your answers with one of the anonymous files and delete.

Thank you for taking the time to assist! The survey should take around 25 minutes to complete. Just to let you know, there is a list of potential sources of funding within the questions in case that helps in locating extra support.

Please take care in these difficult times. Do feel free to circulate.
