Tell us your Care Home experiences during the Covid -19 outbreak

Every local area in England has a Healthwatch, which is the independent consumer champion for Health and Social care. Our purpose is to listen to the views and experiences of people who use local services, especially the most vulnerable. We make sure these views are heard by that those who plan and deliver services, so you can get the best out of them.

Healthwatch Humber is a collaboration of;

Healthwatch North Lincolnshire 

Healthwatch Kingston upon Hull and

who have come together to create the virtual care home engagement project to understand the experiences of residents, families, friends and carers in care homes across the Humber region. 

We know that in order to keep people safe during the covid -19 outbreak, care homes have had to make changes, and some very difficult decisions.

We want to understand what impact this has had on -

·         Residents  living in a care home

·         Family and friends

·         Staff working in a care home

We want to celebrate what has worked well and help care homes to improve on areas that haven't been quite as positive. 

How can I get involved?

Every experience shared with us is valuable and helps us to build up a picture of how care homes are working during these challenging times. There are two ways you can get involved:

1.    You can share your views and experiences  anonymously in this survey

2.    You can get involved in our virtual care home engagement project by taking part in a more in depth questionnaire over the phone at a time that is convenient for you.  We will need you to leave your contact details for this and we will give you a call to arrange this.

Your privacy

We will use the information you provide to help us look at the quality of local health and social care services. We will produce summary reports of all the views we receive, which we may sometimes share with other public bodies to assist them in performing their own duty to improve local services. We will not share your personal information without your permission.

All information will be handled and shared in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018. We will take all necessary steps to ensure that your information is treated securely.
