Anaphylaxis is a severe and life-threatening allergic reaction that can be fatal.

Severe symptoms such as a swollen tongue, difficulty breathing or becoming unconscious can develop suddenly, often within minutes after being exposed to a trigger such as a particular food. There’s no cure for anaphylaxis, so people at risk need to effectively manage their condition and sometimes carry adrenaline, a life-saving emergency medication.

To enable a better understanding for staff and students in our accommodation we are gathering a profile on how our current students are affected and what we can do as an accommodation provider to help you manage your allergy whilst staying with us.

This survey is completely anonymous, so any data you provide is not traceable back to you. If you disclose an allergy on this survey we will not be able to contact you. If you would like to contact us to discuss an allergy and how we can make adaptations to support you then get in touch with your site reception, email accommodation@le.ac.uk or call us on 0116 252 2428.
