Introduction

Thank you for your interest in volunteering your time and knowledge to develop standards by becoming a BSI standards-maker and  develop standards. BSI is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive community of standards-makers and welcomes all applications. BSI is obliged to ensure that all standards makers have knowledge / experience which is relevant to the committee(s) on which they serve. Furthermore, we also have a responsibility to ensure that there is a balance of stakeholder views on each committee. Finally, please note that standards go through periodic cycles of development and review so committees and their members may not always be engaged in an active process.

This information may also be shared with the committee chair / members to assess the relevance of your knowledge / experience to the work of the committee; BSI colleagues are first and foremost standards development experts and not always subject matter experts. Any responses you may provide in the "additional information" section will not be shared with anyone / will not be used when assessing your application.
