Bridgwater is among 100 towns invited by Government to prepare a vision and strategy to guide sustainable regeneration in the area over the next thirty years and seek support of up to £25 millions of public investment. This is primarily for capital projects and the main things the Town Deal Fund will seek to address include:

·         Urban Regeneration.
·         Skills and Enterprise infrastructure.
·         Local connectivity

As part of this process we have formed a Town Deal Board combining the knowledge and passion of a variety of local community, education and business representatives under the stewardship of an independent chairperson, Fiona McMillan, to steer the production of a Town Investment Plan and identify the critical priorities for investment.

This is a vital opportunity to shape the next chapter of Bridgwater’s economic success and pave the way for its recovery in a post-Covid world.  We want this to be an inclusive process for local residents, businesses and stakeholders.  We would, therefore, appreciate you spending a few minutes by completing this survey and provide us with your comments on our suggested Vision, Strategic Aims/Priorities and  Our Focus over the coming years.  Before completing the survey, you may wish to read our Vision Summary at

We would be grateful if you could complete the survey within the next two weeks but can continue to follow our progress on social media and provide further thoughts and views through

Thank you for your contribution to the process.
