Welcome to The Fostering Network's survey on benefits and post 18 placements

This survey is for any foster carers who are or ever have claimed Universal Credit or other benefits and all those offering post-18 placements.

We recently met with Will Quince MP, Minister for Family Support, Housing and Child Maintenance to discuss Universal Credit related issues such as the 'bedroom tax',  ease of accessing Universal Credit and the experiences of young people in foster care once they turn 18 years old.

We are now trying to gather more information about the issues in order to put a case together for the Department of Work and Pensions (England, Scotland and Wales) and the Department for Communities (Northern Ireland), to make the system work better for foster carers.

Your responses will be treated in confidence. We may use any comments you make to illustrate points in the report, but these will be anonymised and will not be used in any way that could identify you.

Thank you very much for taking part.

If you have any questions about this survey please contact campaigns@fostering.net.
