We are wanting to set up some groups for young people, age 14-18 years old, across the UK and so are running a pilot scheme in the north of England as a starting point.
The meeting will take place in Manchester but we hope that young people will also travel in from Liverpool, Leeds and the surrounding areas.
We plan to run an activity and then have a meeting afterwards. We hope to do one of the following activities (Click on the links for more information):
After the event we would love for everyone to stick around for a Q&A session about how Alopecia UK can move forward with services and activities for young people.
Please use the form below to register your interest in attending as well as letting us know your preferences including which activity you would prefer.
Note: For the purpose of this first pilot event we will be asking for people to make their own way to the event. Surveys about further events and transport to these will be sent out in the future.
If you have any questions or queries please contact info@alopecia.org.uk.
Thank you :-)
Kind Regards, Alopecia UK
FAQs:
Do i have to be from Manchester, Leeds or Liverpool to join?
No, you can be from anywhere as long as you're willing to travel in. This is just a pilot scheme to see how much interest we would have.
If i am under 14 or over 18 can i still come?
For this first meeting we ask that only people within this age bracket apply as this is for our new young person project. Under 14's are still welcome at our children support groups and over 18's at our adult support groups.
When will this event be happening?
We're hoping that this event can be rolled out in the summer of 2018. An exact date will be given once the information from this survey has been reviewed.
Can my or do my parents need to come?
Again being a pilot scheme we ask that parents are present for this event as no transport will be put on and so the young people will need a way to get to the event. However if you are over 17 , would like to come on your own and can make your own way there we can discuss other options.
Parents can also help us in our Q+A and give feedback on how future events can be run.
