Dear resident,

Covid-19 has caused real pain and hardship in our borough. The virus has impacted communities throughout Lambeth – and has cruelly exposed the inequalities that exist. Families are struggling, often balancing work with child-care or the need to look after older relatives. I know that self-isolating can be a difficult decision to take because of financial pressures: but it is critical that we all do what we must to protect our loved ones and our wider community. The Covid-19 vaccine is a genuine ray of hope in dark times, but I know that there are concerns about it as a result of the negative experiences of communities in years past, as well as worries about what the vaccine may contain and whether it is safe.

The council wants to help in whatever way we can, and so I am writing to you today to ask you some simple questions about the Covid-19 vaccine and whether we can help with any problems you may have in getting the information you need to arrange an appointment to receive the vaccine, to find out if you are registered with a local GP and to provide you with information about the vaccine’s safety.

Responding to this survey will help the council and our local NHS to better understand what we need to do to make Lambeth safe and make sure that as many people can get vaccinated as possible, so that the risk of people catching it is vastly reduced. Please do help us in that effort. Help keep Lambeth safe.

The survey should take no more than 10 minutes.
The deadline for survey responses is 5pm on Monday 31st May 2021.

All best wishes,

Cllr. Jack Hopkins
Leader of Lambeth council
