INTRODUCTION

Bexley’s Assisted Transport service provides specialist transport through a variety of options for eligible adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues and physical disabilities.

All public funding is reducing significantly and, because we must work within the resources available to us, we face the task of reviewing every aspect of our work and spending.

We need to re-model the way transport services for adults are shaped and delivered. We want to ensure that we meet the needs of vulnerable adults and their carers, and deliver best value for money. Our aim is twofold: to deliver a cost-effective service and the best outcomes for residents.

We will work together with current providers and the voluntary sector as we reshape the service and we would like your feedback on our plans. Please look at our proposals, which can be found on the London Borough of Bexley website (www.bexley.gov.uk - search for 'current consultations') and submit your comments.

Please complete this online survey or you can complete a paper version (which contains the proposals). Paper copies are available from any Bexley library, or by telephoning the Communications Team on 020 8303 7777. You can return your completed paper copy to Bexley library staff, or by post to: Communications Team, Civic Offices, 2 Watling Street, Bexleyheath DA6 7AT.
