At the end of 2020, the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Migration hosted an event for Parliamentarians where representatives from a range of different companies and trade bodies spoke about the impacts that they were anticipating from the introduction of new immigration rules from 1st January 2021. Parliamentarians are keen to keep abreast of developments in different sectors and places as employers adapt to the new reality - particularly during what is already a turbulent time.

The aim of the inquiry is to collect feedback from a wide range of stakeholders, in real-time, about the positive and negative impacts of the new rules on their organisations, employees, and the wider economy and communities, and how they are responding and adapting.

The results of this survey and follow up interviews will provide the basis for a report from the parliamentarians who are members of the APPG, which will make a number of recommendations to the Home Office based on the survey responses.
