Welcome to the Survey!

You have been invited to participate in a research study which aims to explore the potential help that technology can provide to people with Acquired Brain Injury. Before you decide if you want to take part, it is important for you to understand why the research is being done and what it will involve. Please take time to read the information on this page carefully and discuss it with others if you wish. Contact us if you have questions. Take your time to decide whether or not you wish to proceed.

Study objectives and process

The purpose of this study is to find out what are the common challenges for people with ABI, what are the currently used methods of assistance, and how can technology be useful. As a person who has experienced brain injury, you will be asked to anonymously share information related to the challenges that the injury has introduced in your daily life. You will also be asked about your rehabilitation process, and about the way you use current technology.

The survey’s duration is approximately 10 minutes. You can take your time and answer the questions at your own pace. In order to answer the questions you will have to choose one of multiple possible answers, and occasionally type a small text.

Participation in the study is entirely optional. If you choose to take the survey, but change your mind later, inform one of the researchers (see contact information below) and we will make sure that none of the information that you shared will be used in any way.

Data gathering and confidentiality

The survey is completely anonymous, so you will not be asked to give your name in order to complete it.The results of the survey will be secure and password-protected, so that only the researchers can access them (more info here). At the end of the survey, you can choose to share your email address with us, if you want to be notified about the progress of the research or to participate in other studies.
