About this Survey

This survey is for D/deaf and disabled audience members of literature events and workshops and writers, poets and creative producers developing their craft and career in the literature sector in the UK.

Perhaps you are a writer AND an audience member. You are welcome and encouraged to answer all the questions you feel are relevant to you.

The survey forms part of CRIPtic Arts’ and Spread the Word’s Access to Literature research work which aims to understand the barriers to access in the literature sector for D/deaf and disabled writers, poets and audiences and how we can improve access to programmed opportunities both in person and online.

Through providing your feedback we will be able to start to build a data and evidence base to support change and the opening up of opportunities for D/deaf and disabled writers, poets and audiences.

The survey will run until: 21 September 2021, 5pm.

You can access a Word version of the survey at www.spreadtheword.org.uk/access-to-literature-surveys-and-focus-groups. We welcome audio or video responses to this survey if that's better for you - you can email those to us at hello@spreadtheword.org.uk

The research will result in a report of the findings, online sharing of best practice and training sessions for funded organisations, non-funded organisations and individual creative practitioners.
