Study Introduction and Consent to Participate

Thank you for your interest in participating in this piece of research! Please carefully read the information on this page before continuing.
About this research: This online survey will ask you to use some user interface components and ask you some questions about your experience using them. Please carefully follow the survey instructions. The survey should take approximately 10-15 minutes at most.

Who should take part in this study? We are looking for people who regularly use assistive technology when using the web. Please use the browser and assistive technology set-up that you would normally use to browse web sites and applications.

What data will we ask you for? We will gather information about your experience using the interface components. We will also ask you about your use of assistive technology. We will not ask you to disclose any personally identifying information unless you choose to. You can choose not to answer any questions without giving a reason why.

What will happen to the data we gather? We will analyse all the data we collect and use it to inform design improvements that could be made to the user interface components, initially in a "CSUN UXathon" event, taking place on Saturday 26th March, and possibly at a later date. We may also write about the findings of this research in blog posts or other articles. If we do so, we will not disclose the identity of any participant without prior permission.

Who’s conducting this research? Members of The Paciello Group UX team: Sarah Horton, Ian Pouncey, David Sloan, and Henny Swan.

Who can you contact to find out more? If you have any questions about the research, please contact csunuxathon@gmail.com.

Your consent: If you have read and understood the above information, and decide to agree to take part, please confirm your consent to take part by continuing to the next page of this survey.
