Workington Hall Parklands

We are applying to the Heritage Lottery Fund for a grant to help to protect and develop the cultural, natural and built heritage of the Workington Hall Parklands (Curwen Park), securing and enhancing the future for people and wildlife.

Steeped in history the Parklands provide a space for people to enjoy a mix of both cultural and natural heritage.

> Workington Hall – historical Grace I listed building and Schedules
> Ancient Monument
> A miniature railway
> A walled garden
> Mature woodland with a network of paths and lots of wildlife
> The Yearl weir
> Open parkland and meadows

To ensure that the Parklands continue to be visited and enjoyed we are developing a collection of projects to improve the range of both facilities and activities for local people.

Importantly we want to hear from YOU! Whether you’re looking for volunteering opportunities; event space; additional seating; conservation work or interpretation we are open to all suggestions that could help us improve and enhance this much loved space.

Please complete this short survey to tell us your ideas.

It should take no more than 5-10 minutes to complete; can be totally anonymous or you can leave your contact details to continue to be involved.
