About this survey

If you are the parent/carer of a child with Down's Syndrome who is 5 or under, we want to hear about your experiences of early development support. We hope this will help us to understand the different services available across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, and that the evidence gathered may be a useful tool for advocating for Children with Down’s Syndrome so that they can access relevant early intervention services and can be supported to achieve their full potential. The results of the survey will be shared with the Designer Genes 2017/18 facebook group and with the Down’s Syndrome Association.

The survey does not cover the management of medical conditions, but focusses on interventions that support speech and language development, social interaction, physical and cognitive development.

This survey was created in collaboration with parents and carers who are members of the ‘Designer Genes’ facebook group for children with Down’s Syndrome born in 2017/18 in response to the apparent variation in services available or known about.

Please complete this survey if:

·         You are the parent/carer of a child with Down’s Syndrome, and

·         Your child is 5 years old or under, and

·         You live in the UK

If your child is over 5, please feel free to complete the survey, but the focus is on under 5s and we will only analyse the results from over 5 if there is a significant response rate for this group.
It should take about 10 minutes to complete. Your responses will be kept anonymous.
