Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council is currently preparing its Community Development Action Plan for 2019/2020. We would like to consult with as many community groups as possible to hear your opinion on how we best meet the needs of the community and voluntary sector operating within the Borough.
The overall outcome of our work is to help communities become more vibrant, engaged and resilient, and within recent years the work of the community development section has focused on areas such as supporting organisations to secure funding, offering opportunities to build community capacity through training, providing advice around governance and financial responsibilities, sustainability of groups, increasing volunteers, providing information and signposting and last but not least, the opportunity to network with other community and voluntary groups.
