The Library & Knowledge Service provide a wide range of services including:
  • Literature searching and a general enquiry service
  • Information skills training, critical appraisal and journal clubs
  • Attending clinical meetings for provide evidence for clinical questions, evidence to support guideline/pathway development
  • Advice and support in organising information and help developing web pages
  • Libraries with books, journals, health promotion resources and reminiscence resources.
  • 24 hours access, IT facilities, presentation/IT equipment loan and study space
  • Specialty webpages, e-resources including point of care resources (DynaMed and BMJ Best Practice) and databases such as Medline and Cinahl
  • Current awareness to keep up to date (e.g."Latest Health News" bulletins, blogs, journal table of contents alerts)
  • Patients’ Library providing fiction, health information books, audio books and DVDs.
