The Library & Knowledge Service provide a wide range of services including:
- Literature searching and a general enquiry service
- Information skills training, critical appraisal and journal clubs
- Attending clinical meetings for provide evidence for clinical questions, evidence to support guideline/pathway development
- Advice and support in organising information and help developing web pages
- Libraries with books, journals, health promotion resources and reminiscence resources.
- 24 hours access, IT facilities, presentation/IT equipment loan and study space
- Specialty webpages, e-resources including point of care resources (DynaMed and BMJ Best Practice) and databases such as Medline and Cinahl
- Current awareness to keep up to date (e.g."Latest Health News" bulletins, blogs, journal table of contents alerts)
- Patients’ Library providing fiction, health information books, audio books and DVDs.
All delivered by a team of experienced Library & Knowledge Service staff
