WRAP business support survey on shared waste facilities |
Shared facilities for the segregation of recyclables and food waste
Defra and the WRAP (Waste Resources Action Programme) are keen to receive your feedback on opportunities to alleviate the cost burden on businesses that may be incurred from the adoption of Defra’s Resource and Waste Strategy policy. This policy will require businesses to separate their recyclables and food waste from their residual waste in future years.
The potential for businesses to share waste collection facilities has been discussed by sector stakeholders as one potential way to reduce waste collection costs for businesses. This could also help to overcome the practical challenges that some businesses face such as limited space for separate recycling bins and reduced vehicle movements.
To test the feasibility of this approach we would value your feedback via the following short survey examining the pros, cons and interest in such an approach.
